Matteo Concas

Fintech manager and entrepreneur with more than 10 years of experience in financial services, Matteo is Head of Global Financial Solutions at Enel X where he orchestrates the development of Enel X Financial ecosystem and the launch of services in the retail and corporate market. 

He began his career as an M&A banker in London and then decided to move to Berlin, where he started working within the fintech startup scene at N26 and then became an entrepreneur founding SME neobank Penta. 

In 2017 Matteo was named General Manager Italy at N26, launching the challenger bank which he positioned as one of the most innovative banks within the country. A year later, he took on a new role within the bank as Head of Growth Europe, helping it double its customer base from 500,000 to over a million in less than 6 months. 

Following his experience in retail banking with N26, Matteo moved to SME banking by founding Penta, a fintech neobank which partnered with Solarisbank. In Penta he first undertook the role of CEO Italy and then Group CMO. Penta has raised to date €40 million from investors such as HV Holtzbrinck Ventures.

Bilingual in English and Italian, fluent in French and Spanish – Matteo holds a dual Master's degree in Management from ESCP Business School and City University of London, with a specialization in Corporate Finance and Corporate Law.
