Mr. Fei CHEN current holds the position as Chairman of ICBC (Europe) S.A. since October 2015.ICBC (Europe) S.A. is the full subsidiary and regional headquarter of ICBC in Continental Europe,and currently manages offices in major European countries in France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Spain and Poland. With sound growth, ICBC (Europe) S.A. was awarded as “Best Bank in Luxembourg” by the Euromoney magazine in 2014. Besides retail and corporate banking businesses, ICBC (Europe) S.A. also operates three dedicated centers for private banking, investment banking and cash management. Also in 2014, ICBC (Europe) S.A. set up the first-ever RQFII UCITS fund domiciled in Luxembourg and invested on China Inter-bank Bond Market, ushering in a new growth track on asset management. Prior to this role, he was also General Manager of ICBC Frankfurt Branch since July 2012. ICBC Frankfurt Branch is a direct branch to ICBC Limited established in June 1999, the first ICBC branch in Europe, a direct Target 2 and SEPA member, and the euro clearing center within ICBC Group. In his more than 18 years of banking experience since joining ICBC in 1998, he has taken a number of management roles such as General Manager of ICBC (Europe) S.A. Brussels Branchand previously within the International Banking Department in ICBC Head Office, responsible forfinancial institutions coverage, foreign exchange, and IT infrastructure. Mr. Fei CHEN holds a Master’s Degree in Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Tsinghua University. He is an active promoter and frequent speaker on business relations between Europe and China and RMB internationalization in Europe.
